Dance
Morgan is a dedicated dancer who is well versed in every major dance genre including Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Hip Hop and more. She also has experience in Aerial Silks, Lyra Hoop, and Bungee Stunts. Her diverse contemporary portfolio features her classical ballet lines, modern abstract athleticism, and intuitive partnering skills. As an arts advocate, she is intrinsically motivated by creative community outreach endeavors that cultivate deep connections within all communities. She has a passion for supporting artistic undertakings for disabled individuals wanting to synergistically explore the arts and cultural sector. Morgan danced at the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show choreographed by Fatima Robinson for the musical artists Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent, and Eminem. Morgan has danced in the Discover Orange Bowl Halftime Show choreographed by Mandy Moore at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida for the musical artist Dierks Bentley. Her dance performance in the Discover Orange Bowl Halftime Show was televised live to 75,000 homes. Morgan performed as an aerialist for the Orlando Creative City Project’s 2021 Immerse Festival. Her aerial silks solo, All I Want choreographed by Joyce Lemos, was seen on the WFTV 9 ABC News Station and was featured in a news article about the performing arts event. Morgan danced in the opening routine for the Charlotte Thanksgiving Day Parade which was broadcasted regionally on WBTV, Channel 3 CBS. She has danced and performed in the Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival, Charleston Arts Festival, Jailbreak Arts Festival, and the Mashup Contemporary Dance Companies International Women’s Day Festival. Morgan is a company dancer for the Anaheim Ballet Company. She danced in the Anaheim Ballet Companies 2022 Nutcracker season at the Grove Theatre with the Symphony Irvine Orchestra. She also went on tour with the Anaheim Ballet Company and performed in multiple Nutcracker shows in Laughlin, Nevada. Morgan has danced and performed on the field for live broadcast television, in art galleries, parades, music videos, dance for camera films, festivals, and on the theatrical stage.
Choreography
Morgan equates her dance and choreographic style to that of the great painters of Paris like Picasso, Matisse, and Leger. Her abstract gestural experimentation is heavily influenced by the Expressionists, Surrealists, and Cubists of the early 1900’s in France. Her choreographic voice focuses on oppositional narratives, introspective confessions, and psychological and physical self-barings. This sought after emotive dancer bares her creative soul and authentically convey’s society’s message in her innovative work which embodies relevant social themes with her gestural experimentation. Her desire is to create relevant organic physical works that mirror the pulse of society’s current events. She explores movement on and off the camera. Morgan aims to create thought provoking bold work that explores movement abstraction within screendance, experimental videography and cinematography. She gathers inspiration from motion and multimedia components and blends her choreography and artistic visions with videography, screen projections, animation, and editing. She has choreographed and directed music videos, live stage performances, screendance films, and site specific work. Morgan was one of the Resident Choreographers for the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration 2021 season representing the Orlando, Florida area. During her CFCC Residency her choreography was performed at the Orlando Museum of Art in front of the million dollar Dale Chihuly blown glass sculpture, “Citron and Cobalt Tower” seen in the main gallery of the museum. Morgan is one of the Teaching Artists and Camera Choreographers for the Invertigo Dance Theatres Dancing Through Parkinson’s Program. She collaborated with Teaching Artist Rachel Whiting and the Dancing Through Parkinson’s Program and co-created Beyond The Reach a screendance film and multimedia dance performance. Morgan collaborated with American Sign Language Artist Zendrea Mitchell and choreographed, Sensory, a dance for camera film that was a creative movement exploration of the five senses. Sensory was the opening film in the Beyond The Reach film and live showcase. Beyond The Reach was featured in the Mark Morris Dance for PD 20 year celebration of the hybrid dance festival. Currently, Morgan is producing Blossomed a screendance film in partnership with the Invertigo Dance Theatres Dancing Through Parkinson’s Program and the World Parkinson’s Congress.
