Omne Trium Perfectum

Morgan produced, directed, and choreographed a one of a kind experimental screendance documentary film series entitled Omne Trium Perfectum. As one of the Resident Choreographers for the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration 2021 season representing the Orlando, Florida area, she combined her love for blown glass and her passion for dance movement and created a two part film series including an avant-garde dance for camera performance film and a documentary on the creative arts process.

Her Master of Fine Arts film production thesis was performed and shot at the Orlando Museum of Art in front of the million dollar Dale Chihuly blown glass sculpture, “Citron and Cobalt Tower” featured in the main gallery of the museum. Morgan took inspiration from this unique larger than life blown glass installation and mimicked the spirals, curves, and twists seen in the sculpture and adapted those movement pathways to the bodies of her dancers during the creative process. She created a choreographic work exploring the comparison between dance movement and glass movement.

During the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration Choreographic Residency, she dove deeper into her movement research and camera choreography for the film when she explored the blown glass process by taking a blown glass class at the Morean Arts Center Hot Shop in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She learned the fundamentals of glass making from the regional store manager and head blown glass artist, Bao Tao. Together they created a miniature blown glass sculpture inspired by Dale Chihuly’s “Citron and Cobalt Tower” at the Orlando Museum of Art. Morgan really enjoyed the blown glass process and getting to do a private one on one session with Bao Tao helped her understand the movement pathways and spatial patterns that a blown glass artist operates in when making blown glass art pieces. She took that experience and choreographed a movement partnership between the three dancers similar to the partnership when working with another blown glass artist in the hot shop.

On November 13th, 2021, her experimental screendance film, Omne Trium Perfectum premiered at the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration 2021 Dance Film premiere at the Grove Theater in Chapel, Florida. She reflects upon the experience “it was an amazing screendance premiere filled with joy and creativity; getting to see Omne Trium Perfectum on the big movie screen was electrifying and one of the most fulfilling moments in my career." Being a part of the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration 2021 season allowed her to further investigate her artistry and expand her creative horizons. On November 14th, 2021 her film premiered as a virtual screening as part of the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration 2021 dance film. What is truly remarkable and a true testament to Morgan’s character is that she was able to do all this even before graduating from the Masters of Fine Arts Film Production program from Full Sail University. Her camera choreography in the film and dedication to her students throughout the season did not go unnoticed at the premiere. Morgan was awarded the creativity and commitment award for her film, Omne Trium Perfectum and her dance teaching. Her dance for camera film was such a success that it is currently in its second encore online film premiere for the Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration. The Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration has awarded Morgan to be a resident choreographer for the 2022 season where she will create another one of a kind dance for camera arts film in partnership with the Florida Arts Commission and Arts Axis Florida.
